InspiRx [inspir ɛks] is a portmanteau of "inspiration" and the medical shorthand for prescription,"Rx".

Founder Dr Andrew Weekes is a UK-trained doctor with postgraduate qualifications in drug evaluation and pharmaceutical science. He has broad experience in medical affairs leadership including Country Medical Director roles in UK and ANZ; for Servier, AbbVie, GSK, Gilead (interim) and Bayer (interim). Andrew serves as a Non-executive Director at FacioBiotherapies Pty Ltd and was previously Chair of the Medical Subcommittee supporting the board at Respiri Pty Ltd.

Andrew has deep experience in promotional governance, including serving on MA Code Committees and actively support Code reform through Editions 19 and 20. He was active in development of the first fully-dimensioned Competency Framework for Medical Affairs, now endorsed by MAPA and published in Pharmaceutical Medicine. He is a Program Committee Member for the Master of Science in Medicine (Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development) at the University of Sydney, where he holds an Adjunct Lecturer position. Andrew also has a strong background in design and execution of medical affairs research in a variety of disease areas, leading to over 1000 citations of original research.
